With its colourless exterior, wooden door and paved concrete path the outside
of Lorraine Palmer’s small flat looks much like any other.
And a year ago Lorraine said the inside of her home was also “cold and
lifeless”, with dull colours and clutter stacking up with walls.
But now, hidden inside the ash-grey walls of her tiny one-bedroom flat, in
Clays Lane, Stratford, Feng Shui consultants Kenny D’Cruz and Kris Pengkerego
have created a pocket paradise.
With a lick of paint, a few strategic moves of her furniture and a handful
of scented candles the Feng Suit team have transformed her flat into a balmy
moorish palace.
Lorraine said: “A year ago I was uninspired and I had no energy.
“My relationship with my boyfriend wasn’t working.
“I was never into spiritual things but when someone at work showed me
Kenny’s leaflet I thought I would try it out …now I don’t
know how I survived without them!”
Based on the ancient Chinese I-Ching, Feng Shui, or as it’s more commonly
known ‘furniture moving’, is fast making its name in Britain as
a creative and practical tool to bring health, wealth and happiness.
Under one of Lorraine’s celestial wall hangings, sitting cross-legged
like an oriental prince Kenny beams with pride as he retells some of his success
stories.
He said: “I love success stories and Lorraine was one of my best.
“With a few small changes to her flat she has totally turned her life
around, she is madly in love and happy with the people in her life.”
For £350 Kenny and Kris discovered where Lorraine’s money, family
and career areas were in the room and did some space clearing.
“It’s all about ridding the house of bad energy,” said space
clearing expert Kris.
“Lorraine’s flat was quite difficult because it is close to overhead
electricity pylons and built on old rubbish dumps so we had a lot of bad energy
to get rid of.”
The price of the treatment varies depending on the person but prices are generally
£250 for half a day and £450 for a whole day’s consultation.
