Corporate Work  Print

I love working with managers and teams building trust, focussing, creating and managing change.

I thoroughly enjoy new projects, launches, marketing, publicity, team building and the human side of management.

Day-to-day humdrum and figures drive me bonkers; my brain leans more towards the right but the results gained are nonetheless very tangible and measurable.

I often take the role of consultant to the Managing (or Marketing / Publicity / etc.) Director, gaining pre-boardroom clarity, sitting in meetings (either taking part or observing, as appropriate) and de-briefing afterwards, holding the focus in mind while being realistic about the team, resources, deadlines and the blocks that prevent efficient progress.

I sometimes work with specific individuals / departments who need a boost / tuning in to get the team up to speed.

I love writing and designing, as well as strategic and media planning. I occasionally manage graphic / web design for clients, using my excellent team of art workers. Naturally, my logos, stationery and websites are perfectly Feng Shui'd and consumer orientated.

Branding, from vague concept and initial brain storming to the final design, personality, functionality and separate entity that the brand becomes, once the breath of life is finally given to it.

My initial qualifications were in Business Studies (OND). Later on I moved into Marketing & Publicity (CAM).

I ran my own successful Marketing & Publicity Consultancy from 1987 to 1993, with clients ranging from blue chips to pop stars to holistic health – before it was trendy!

Testimonials:

"I had put my main business, a consultancy, on ice while I got involved in a start-up telecoms company. I was thrown into the deep end to deal with forces that were outside my confidence zone – I was lied to, cheated, stolen from, manipulated and challenged to the core of my value system. I survived to tell the tale and it was just after I returned to the shell of my consultancy that I met Kenny. I had a few meagre clients left, one loyal member of staff, no money in the bank and low self-esteem. Not a good place from which to start.

Kenny suggested that I undertake a review of my office environment. He came to see us and in the course of a conversation picked up enough to enable him to recommend changes to the layout and furnishings in one office room.

As a businessman I would now ask, “So what happened next?” In the month that Kenny arrived our turnover was £7,000. The following month our turnover was £34,000 – a x5 increase. Within two weeks of the review we won a client with a value of £100,000 and more business with a current client worth £40,000. I have decided to change some of the consultants that I am working with, change the name of the company and have more fun being more energised in my work. Within a few days of Kenny’s review my most loyal staff member resigned and I have now found a replacement… who is better qualified and less expensive.

Now, I am a sceptic about all this sort of thing. But maybe, just maybe, it is more than a coincidence that so much started to go right so soon after he came to visit. And in my book if the magic works, use the magic."

"Kenny came around and almost immediately he walked in my door he started doing feng shui – he couldn’t help himself – and telling me what I needed to shift, where the energy was blocked etc. while we talked about the PR I needed for my business! As soon as he was gone, I started shifting things around, throwing a few things out (nothing too radical) and spookily the phone started ringing, clients came out of the woodwork, my workshops – which had been depressingly under-subscribed – filled up. The till was ringing and this was even before I started doing any actual PR. Things have continued to flow since then. So from being a bit of a feng shui sceptic, I am now recommending Kenny to all my friends."

"Kenny took a great deal of time talking to everyone who worked in the office, to see what was working, what wasn’t working and what changes we wanted to see happen. He then came back and advised us on how to change each room. It instantly felt different. The whole project was exciting and we instantly began to feel more calm and peace around the office, with more space for us to create new things. Over the last year we have expanded in staff, in participants taking our seminars, in events we are putting on and generally in more people being involved in the Insight community."

Thank you, Stacey M.
